Old and New Heresies: A Double Book-Launch with Rodger Kamenetz, Jay Michaelson, and Basya Schechter

Join us for an evening of music, conversation, and performance celebrating two new books: the new, expanded edition of Rodger Kamenetz’s “The Missing Jew,” and the latest book by Jay Michaelson, “The Heresy of Jacob Frank: From Jewish Messianism to Esoteric Myth.”

These two new volumes, one of poetry and one of scholarship, cover related territories of spirituality and heresy, eros and God, dreams and doubt.

Rodger and Jay will be joined by Basya Schechter, performing original material as well as heretical-messianic hymns from the Sabbatean movement.
