Jacob Frank (1726-1791) was a heretical sect leader operating at the nexus of Judaism, Christianity, and Western Esotericism.  In his late work The Words of the Lord, Frank rejected non-corporeal notions of the ‘spiritual’ and insisted that the body and the material world was the sole site of holiness, even as he crafted outlandish myths of immortal beings and magical creatures.  In this evening discussion, we’ll explore Frank’s teachings on corporeality, sexuality, and redemption in the context of Western Esotericism and heretical Judaism.
