The Buddha-Dharma offers many gifts: meditation, liberation, personal growth. But it also offers — in challenging times especially — consolation and refuge (sarana).
Building on the framework of the triple gem — the refuges in Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha — this talk explores how the Buddhist path can offer consolation, and what this emotional and embodied quality might mean today.
Presented by New York Insight Meditation Center’s Insight Out sangha, this exploration is grounded largely in LGBTQ+ and allied experiences, but is also addressed to the contexts of climate anxiety, pandemic trauma, and political polarization. All are welcome.  We will sit at 7:30, with the talk beginning around 7:45, and we will end by 8:30.
This meditation and talk is offered by donation. Registration is required to get the Zoom link – please register here:
