Join Jay Michaelson, Nehirim and the Jewish Community of Amherst for an evening of prayer, song, and conversation in honor of Rabbi David Dunn Bauer, former rabbi of JCA and longtime Nehirim faculty member.

The evening begins with Kabbalat Shabbat: Welcoming the Sabbath with music, prayer, and movement, followed by a catered supper and a lecture by Nehirim founder and Queer Jewish activist Jay Michaelson:  I”m Just Not That Kind of God: How Queer Jewish Theology, like Feminist Theology, Will Change Judaism for the Better…and for Everyone.
