Have you noticed that it’s hard to talk about Israel in the queer community?
Many LGBT folks have opinions deemed too ‘treyf” by the Jewish mainstream.
Many pro-Israel folks have opinions they’re afraid to express in the queer world.

Is there a better way?  How can we be more welcoming of diverse opinions on the contentious subject of Israel?  How can we hear each other’s different opinions and live together in a way that advances dialogue, cooperation, and respect?

Join us for an open discussion of these issues.  Here, all opinions are welcome and all are included.  Our panelists include a political activist, an Israeli MK, a journalist, a former president of Congregation Shaar Zahav, and a rabbi involved in Israeli-Palestinian dialogue groups — all queer-identified.  If you’ve ever felt excluded — from the Jewish community, from the queer community, or both — because of your political opinions, please join us for an evening of discussion and community-building.
