Peak Experiences Wisdom Inquiry
Probably all of us have had “peak experiences” — moments of life-transforming wisdom or experience — perhaps in the context of spirituality, or major life events, or sex, or drugs, or art. In this discussion-based workshop, we will share the stories and fruits of our peak experiences using the spiritual practice of inquiry. Each of us will take a turn sharing the experiences and answering guiding questions from Jay. In this way, we will be invited to reflect on our own and others’ most life-transforming experiences in a new way and perhaps tap into some of the energy of those experiences together.

What’s Next for the LGBT Movement?
With the remarkable successes of 2012 and 2013, and the tide seeming to turn on same-sex marriage in the United States, what’s next for the LGBT movement? What are the new challenges the movement faces from opponents, and how is it adapting (or failing to adapt) to face these new challenges? In this discussion, Dr. Jay Michaelson provides a firsthand account from inside the closed doors of leading national LGBT organizations and funders, and invites all of us to play a part.

Eat Your Way to Enlightenment
Meditation retreats are great, but what practices work on the subway, or when the kids are screaming, or when you”re running late to a meeting? In this class, we will focus on eating meditation, simple breathwork, and “drop in” meditation practices that are easy and portable. The class is intended for those who have some basic meditation background, but being a beginner is the best background of all.
